In order to carry out the necessary tests on a vehicle member, it is necessary to be able to simulate all the components interacting with each other, and for this passing tests the best conditions is required. However, the solution currently used by the HIL validation team within the MTC has drawbacks that hamper the autonomy of the team and compromise the quality of its deliverables.
The objective of this project is to design and implement an automated environment for the automotive testing, which will help improve the autonomy of the HIL validation team and its mastery of the validation process.
To meet this goal, we developed our solution on TestStand, which is a standard development and automation tool for Groupe PSA. The project is about the improvement of the MeS process on a built-in systems interface software, In short, the automation of the MeS process. This task was achieved via the creation a sequence, which is a script that does the whole tests by its own and generates a report at the end.
This work requires a good understanding of the validation of the BSI software, varieties of automotive projects, automotive multiplexing and the CAN communication protocol, as well as a good command of TestStand development tool and the LabVIEW programming language.
