Titre : | Smart Cities and 3D Data Mapping A New Way to Visualize Data | Type de document : | projet fin études | Auteurs : | ELHOUSNI MAHDI, Auteur | Année de publication : | 2017 | Langues : | Anglais (eng) | Catégories : | Systèmes embarqués et mobiles
| Index. décimale : | 1785/17 | Résumé : | The proposed concept entails the use of affordable cameras and Lidar systems to collect very detailed spatial information on the built environment. This data will be processed to develop real-time 3-dimensional models (i.e. 4D) of the built environment. Data is collected from different sensors and used to (semi) continuously actualize a 4D model while keeping historical records of the most critical past attributes and events.
In its basic form, the proposed 4D data concept is intended to bring immediate value to the city. For example, the information can be used to facilitate detailed urban and utility service planning, to better plan building renovation activities, to conduct remote inspections, to stimulate citizen’s participation in community planning, or to serve as a portal that provides easy access to existing and new city data. |
